My paintings, collages and prints are a study of record keeping, maps and landscapes.
My fiber art, constructed from materials such as quilts, feed sacks and paper, looks at the history of these items how they were used and reused sustaining families within communities. Piecing, quilting and collage shape and combine bits and pieces of cloth, paper, threads and other “found” materials to form a whole but maintain the identity of individual pieces. These bit and pieces sewn together represent the past and speak of a future. Below is a selection of my work.
